Claire & Alvin Wedding

Claire and Alvin is a couple who is matched in heaven. One of the most adorable weddings we’ve ever been to. It was a simple wedding but the joy and laughter that came with it made the entire day go by so fast. While Alvin was a careful and outgoing person, Claire was a playful and beautiful bride. Her energy brought so much excitement into the wedding and her attention to details was one to admire. She had prepared many things herself and put in a lot of thoughts into planning her perfect day. During her wedding planning process, we had also provided some helpful advices based on our experiences to assist her to reach her wedding dream goal. We were really glad that she did in fact reached them despite her high expectations. Lastly, we were extremely grateful and honoured to have been part of her special day. Enjoy

1st Birthday for ZiSin

It’s Zisin’s 1st birthday and she’s getting all princess’d up for her party. Everyone is getting ready to celebrate this adorable little angel’s birthday party with food and gifts. Although it’s a family party, but still it was a happy and fun day for everyone. Zisin had one of the most beautiful caked I’ve ever seen, decorated with lots of cute little bunnies. This little afternoon party lit up the house with tons of joy and laughter. Congratulations Zisin! Happy Birthday!

Caylee’s 1st Birthday

Another little girl turns one and this time it’s Caylee. It’s her 1st birthday party and Mommy & Daddy helped her throw a fantastic party and invited all of her little friends. There were cakes, balloons, presents, sweets and even a piñata! The piñata was self made by Caylee’s Mommy and it was designed after a bunny rabbit. It had a small string tied to it so that the kids could pull open the treasures inside. After the piñata and birthday cake, there was a fantastic pool party. Everyone had so much fun and all the smiles we shot from the party were priceless. Little Caylee enjoyed the party so much and right after the party ended, she took her little nap.

Alvin & Elizabeth’s Solemnization

This time our team had the opportunity to travel over to the island of Singapore for this shoot. Our plane ride to Singapore was very early in the morning. We had to take the cab to the Kuala Lumpur airport at 5am in the morning. Thank God we had some time for some close eye before it started as the solemnization was going to be held in the evening. It was held at a beautiful chalet of a hotel in Sentosa. Alvin & Elizabeth had a really simple and sweet little event and invited all of his close friends and both their parents were there too. The only challenging part of the shoot was the large pool that was right in the centre of the altar where the ROM was going to be held. We had to be really careful on our movements and the place was quite limited to fit the 3 of us running around to grab the shots. Despite all those, the solemnization went on well and we wished the newly wed couples a wonderful and lovely marriage.

St. Anthony’s School Class 1971 Reunion

Sarikei’s St. Anthony’s School 1971 Class Reunion. Yes, it’s a very long name. But this explains one of the most special clients we’ve had so far. Have you ever thought what it would be like if you have not met your classmates for 40 years and reunited again one day? Honestly, it’s quite impossible for me to imagine. Well, I had the chance to experience this sort of feeling, even though I’m still in my 20s. Thanks to the uncles and aunties from the St. Anthony’s School class of 1971. This wonderful reunion they had was so meaningful, that I felt proud to be part of. Here are some of the moment shots during the 2 days. Hope you enjoy them.

MiRRORs Magazine Soft Launch

designBAR Studio was assigned to cover the MiRRORs magazine soft launch and MiRRORs ambassador search. The event was held in Mist Club, Kuala Lumpur. We met quite a bunch of celebrities such as Amber Chia, Winnie Loo, Carrie Lee, Gillian Hung and more! It was a rather exciting event. The pace was quite fast so we had to keep our eyes really sharp and fingers on the trigger and snapped away. The event was successful and some of our photos were published in the February issue of MiRRORs magazine. So, do enjoy our highlights of photos during the event. Cian’s 1st birthday

Everyone’s 1st birthday is something that is widely celebrated. We went down to Singapore in an August morning, grabbing breakfast halfway and planning the shots for Cian’s important day. Cian’s mommy and daddy invited us down to his 1st birthday bash and it was really fun. All the kids playing with each other, the mommies talking to each other and the daddies walking around the buffet table with their paper plates. Everything was so perfect and sweet. Cian didn’t have a knack for birthday hats, but was rather interested with the cake. Happy Birthday Cian!
